Follow-up Story - ABC News: Juneau, Alaska, is considering limiting the number of daily visitors from large cruise ships starting in 2026

Alaska’s capital port city of Juneau is considering new limits to combat overtourism. Starting in 2026, large cruise ships with 250 passengers or more may face a daily visitor cap. The agreement expands on last year’s decision to limit the number of cruise ships to five per day. On Sundays through Fridays, cruise crowds are expected to be capped at 16,000, while Saturdays will see a limit of 12,000 visitors
